Graz Pedals into the Future: Cycling Offensive 2030 & Styria Cycles
Graz has set ambitious goals: By 2030, we want to increase the share of cycling in our city to a proud 30 percent! This is the vision of the Cycling Offensive 2030 Graz and represents a tremendous improvement for all of us. Imagine gliding through our city more relaxed and safely on a main cycling route network that comfortably and continuously takes you from A to B. Whether from Augarten to Lendplatz or across the city – cycling should become a natural, everyday means of transport for everyone. This includes not only new bike paths and fast cycling routes but also secure parking facilities and more services that make cycling easier for us.
And this is where 'Styria Cycles' comes into play – the perfect complement to bring this vision to life right now!
The 'Styria Cycles' initiative, part of 'Austria Cycles', motivates all of us to pedal vigorously from March 20 to September 30. It is free, suitable for all age groups, and regardless of whether you are cycling alone, in a team, for your community, or your company. The goal? To collect at least 100 kilometers, not only to benefit your health and the climate but also to have the chance to win attractive prizes such as bicycles, accessories, or vacation vouchers. Who will collect the most kilometers on the Mur cycling path or on the way to work?
These two initiatives – the long-term Cycling Offensive 2030 Graz and the annual motivation through 'Styria Cycles' – fit perfectly together. The Cycling Offensive creates the infrastructure for our cycling future, and 'Styria Cycles' gets us all on our bikes today so we can shape this future together.
