This weekend is going to be hot, with temperatures up to 35 degrees and mostly clear skies. Perfect for taking advantage of the many local rides that await us.
The Weather This Weekend
This weekend will feel truly summery. Friday will still be clear at 31 degrees, but on Saturday and Sunday, we’ll climb up to 35 degrees with moderate cloud cover. Remember to drink enough and preferably set off in the morning hours before the asphalt gets too hot. Headwinds seem to be part of the cycling network in Graz, but in this heat, a light breeze might not be so bad.

Route Suggestions
If you prefer to go on your own or want to join a group, we have a few suggestions that you can easily combine with the events:
- Easy (< 40km): For a relaxed start to the weekend, check out the Critical Mass Graz on Friday. A great opportunity to roll through the city before a tram at the main square shows you who has the right of way.
- Medium (40-80km): On Friday, the Funky F_ride_ay starts. Just under 63 kilometers, that’s a solid round that gets you going.
- Hard (> 80km): If you want to test your legs on Sunday, you can join the group that is riding MVR goes “Latschnhitten”. Over 130 kilometers and more than 2000 meters of elevation – you’ll know in the evening what you’ve done.
Whatever you plan to do, have a great ride! Show us your experiences from the weekend and tag your photos with #bikegraz on Instagram and Bluesky. We’re excited!
